Due to the COVID-19, our districts are not meeting face-to-face but we encourage virtual meetings to act as a substitute for the time being! We hope to be able to resume Scouting activities soon!

The District Roundtables are a great way for adult volunteers (and Scouts!) to get information and ideas to strengthen your scouting unit.

75th Annual Memorial Day Good Turn

Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis MO 63125
Preregistration strongly encouraged however walk-ins are welcomed.

For more than seven decades, approximately 5,000 Scouts have gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery before Memorial Day to decorate each of the approximately 280,000 graves with an American Flag. In its 75th year (2024), the tradition is one of the longest-running Memorial Day events within the BSA.

Announcing the release of "To This You Must Return-the History of the Beaumont Scout Reservation" - written to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Greater St. Louis Area Council receiving clear title to the property and the 70th anniversary of the first Boy Scout summer camp at Camp May. (Morton May pictured here)

Contrary to popular belief, Council membership immediately following World War II did not grow, and Scouts attending summer camps experienced a decline. Only bold, forward-thinking leadership and determination led to the acquisition of the Beaumont Scout Reservation. Read about the challenges in the new book "To This You Must Return."
