Summer camp isn’t the only time Scouts can enjoy all of the great programs the council has to offer! The Greater St. Louis Area Council offers a variety of fun activities for Scout units, families and friends to enjoy all year long!
Troops, Packs, and Crews are encouraged to camp out and take part in the great programs offered throughout the year. Facilities are also available for rental for community organizations, chartered partners, and businesses.

The short-term lottery is intended In order to provide a fair and orderly system for the processing of unit reservations for cabins, treehouses, and horses there is a short-term lottery. Reservations can be made for those facilities being conducted from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020. All other registrations can be made starting on August 12th at 9am. Baker Lodge
Baker Lodge is located approximately 40 minutes from Camp Lewallen on beautiful Lake Wappapello. See it on a map here.
The lodge is just minutes away from several recreation areas around the lake, including Lake Wappapello State Park. On top of the beautiful scenery and many nearby parks, Baker Lodge is a great meeting space with its large open room and adjoining kitchen amenities. It is available to units year round (except during summer camp). There is indoor plumbing and the lodge is equipped with a fireplace, stove, refrigerator, and showers. The lodge can accommodate 30 campers.
Camp Kickapoo
Camp Kickapoo is located just east of the Blue Point Baptist Church on the west side of Lake Sara. The camp does not have a physical address. The address of the church is 8014 E 1600th Ave., Effingham, IL 62401. Click here to see it on a map.
The property is approximately 25 acres, is open for tent camping, has a pavilion, potable water, and a pavilion.
