We are made up of six school districts that encompass mid-St. Louis County which include Pattonville, Ritenour, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Clayton, Ladue and University City. Our neighborhoods include Overland, Maryland Heights, Olivette, Maplewood, St. Ann, Bridgeton, and surrounding communities.

Pathfinder Training

BSA Learn Center

Do you need to take Youth Protection Training (YPT)? Do you need to take your Cub Scout Leader Training? All of this and more can be done while visiting one website!  BSA Learn Center

Use your membership number on your ID card to sign in. If you are new to Scouting and do not have a membership number, create a new user name and password. Every time you complete a training session, print out the certificate provided and turn in to your Unit Leader, Committee Chairman or Council service center.

 


 

The council is offering several virtual trainings this summer to help keep volunteers Scouting safely and effectively. See the list below for the upcoming schedule.

Hazardous Weather Training

Many volunteers will show up as not trained and that is because this past April National made Hazardous Weather Training a requirement for direct contact leaders. They may take this training online at my.scouting.org or take one of the council training. More dates will be coming out for more opportunities to take this training.

75th Annual Memorial Day Good Turn

Preregistration strongly encouraged however walk-ins are welcomed.

For more than seven decades, approximately 5,000 Scouts have gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery before Memorial Day to decorate each of the approximately 280,000 graves with an American Flag. In its 75th year (2024), the tradition is one of the longest-running Memorial Day events within the BSA.

Announcing the release of "To This You Must Return-the History of the Beaumont Scout Reservation" - written to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Greater St. Louis Area Council receiving clear title to the property and the 70th anniversary of the first Boy Scout summer camp at Camp May. Contrary to popular belief, Council membership immediately following World War II did not grow, and Scouts attending summer camps experienced a decline. Only bold, forward-thinking leadership and determination led to the acquisition of the Beaumont Scout Reservation. Read about the challenges in the new book "To This You Must Return."
