NYLT

Why attend NYLT?

Through this weeklong outdoor training, male and female Scouts grow and improve their leadership skills while following the guidelines of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. NYLT is conducted during summer camp.

Scouts earning the NYLT shield are better prepared to interact with adult leaders and face the challenges and demands ahead. This course is offered to both male and female scouts. NYLT course fee is $280.

Scouts BSA and Venturing Summer Camp

The Greater St. Louis Area Council offers one of the premier summer camp experiences in the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts and Venturers will encounter challenges they first thought were beyond their ability and find programs that stir the imagination. Using the outdoors as our classroom, campers will build character and skills that can be used in their everyday lives. From our facilities, to our staff, to our food, summer camp is better in the Greater St. Louis Area Council.

Scouts and Venturers also have the option of attending any of our many specialty camps. These include Catholic Adventure Week, STEM Camp, the S-F Ranger Program, Boy Scout Week at Swift, Horse Camp, and Eagle Trail Week. We also offer six sessions of National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), which helps youth build their leadership skills and take that next challenge!

Osage Sea Scout Ship is expecting to set sale this month!

We have been talking about this for a while but it looks like the Sea Scout Ship is looking to set sale this month.

Please let your Scouts and others know about this unique program of the BSA. The age for Sea Scouts is 14 up to 21.

We are looking for a few youth that would be able to be primary in the Ship and we will then duel them back to their current unit.
With this said we do not want to make a youth primary in the ship if they are needed for their current unit.

We are also welcoming adults who may also like to be part of the Ship as a member of the Committee.

If you know of anyone interested, please have them get in contact with me and to fill out an application. I will be glad to then collect the applications for the Ship.

Please let me know if you have any questions. We are wanting to get the Ship Chartered before the end of this month and before Jane at Council retires.

Thank you and let me know if you have anyone interested.
