Kaskaskia Virtual Training

Cub Leader Virtual Training

7/14 and 7/16 from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Register here.

This is a required training for all  Den Leaders and  Den Leader Assistants, Cubmasters, Assistance Cubmasters, Committee Chairs and Committee Members. Join a live trainer in a virtual meeting via Zoom. At the end of both sessions your training record will be updated to reflect completed training for Den Leader, Committee Challenge, and Cubmaster.  When you sign up you are signing up for both classes. Attendance of both classes is required to receive class credit.

Youth Protection Training

Three available sessions (only one session required to be trained):
June 23rd from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.  Register here
July 11th from 9:00am – 11:00am.  Register here
August 13th from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.  Register here

Youth Protection Training is required for all BSA registered volunteers. It is a joining requirement, and continued membership requires that it be retaken every two years. Successful completion of the online course will satisfy either requirement.

75th Annual Memorial Day Good Turn

Preregistration strongly encouraged however walk-ins are welcomed.

For more than seven decades, approximately 5,000 Scouts have gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery before Memorial Day to decorate each of the approximately 280,000 graves with an American Flag. In its 75th year (2024), the tradition is one of the longest-running Memorial Day events within the BSA.

Announcing the release of "To This You Must Return-the History of the Beaumont Scout Reservation" - written to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Greater St. Louis Area Council receiving clear title to the property and the 70th anniversary of the first Boy Scout summer camp at Camp May. Contrary to popular belief, Council membership immediately following World War II did not grow, and Scouts attending summer camps experienced a decline. Only bold, forward-thinking leadership and determination led to the acquisition of the Beaumont Scout Reservation. Read about the challenges in the new book "To This You Must Return."
