Perennial, located in South Saint Louis, is a non-profit dedicated to creative reuse- the process of artistically transforming discarded goods into objects of worth. Perennial is now hosting two virtual workshops in July for scouts to earn art-related Merit Badges.Textile Merit Badge– Wednesday July 15th at 6pm and Sculpture Merit Badge– Tuesday July 28th at 6pm.
Little Medical School in Creve Coeur is a STEM program bringing medicine, science, and the importance of health to youth in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way! They’ve partnered with the Scouts to offer STEM-based Adventure workshops in their facility. Wolves can earn Germs Alive! by doing fun science experiments that teach the important of a clean room, proper hand-washing, and covering your sneezes. Webelos can earn the First Responder Adventure by building a First Aid kit and treating minor injuries.Little Medical School is currently offering virtual versions of the Germs Alive! and First Aid workshops. The Challenger Learning Center is now offering Adventure and Merit Badge workshops! Using simulated space missions and immersive, “out-of-this-world” activities, they offer a unique experience for each of their workshops, including Bears Robotics, Webelos Adventures in Science, and Merit Badges in Astronomy, Electricity, and Space Exploration.
Youth Friendly Learning STL is offering fun and innovative workshops for Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Scouts BSA to earn STEM Adventures and Merit Badges! Workshops are now available on weekends through December 19th 2020. You can also let YFLS come to you! They’ll bring their robotics and engineering fun right to your Den.
Adventure loop and merit badge workshops for Cub Scouts & Scouts BSA are held at the Microsoft retail store inside the St. Louis Galleria every Saturday and Sunday.
The Academy of Racing Science at Victory Raceway in South County provides a fun and interactive way to earn badges while learning about STEM education concepts. STEM-based programs are for Cub Scouts and Scouts in kart racing, safety, and technology with focus on STEM Adventure loops, merit badges, and NOVA award requirements.
