SCOUTS BSA IS FOR GIRLS AND BOYS AGES 11-17
The Scouts BSA program is designed to promote character, leadership, citizenship and personal fitness in boys while instilling the fundamental values of Scouting.
Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Youth lead their own activities and participate in service, outdoor adventures, and leadership development programs. Scouts are introduced to countless hobbies, interests, sciences, and even future career choices. They can work on advancement and earning specific merit badges while also working their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle.
The youth, who are also charged with planning activities and other events throughout the year, lead the program. By taking on these responsibilities, Scouts develop and promote teamwork while learning to lead as well as follow.

Camps

Training

STEM
The BSA’s STEM initiative gives Scouts an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics related concepts and learn how STEM knowledge is used in everyday life and in the professional world. The aim is to expose youth to new opportunities and help build interest in the STEM-related careers that are so crucial to our future economy.
Special Needs Scouts
Many units have at least one Scout with Special Needs, which includes autism, attention deficit disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, asthma, diabetes, hearing or visual impairment and many others. This committee is designed to offer support, training, and resources to help your Scout and unit be more successful.
